Christmas Cards and Hangings for 2008
from the Santa Maria Education Fund

Each year we produce a Christmas card, the sales proceeds of which go to the Education Fund. This year we are also producing Gift Cards which record your donation on behalf of a friend to one of the Fund's projects



The SMEF Christmas card for 2008 shows the lovely hand-made clay figures of the crib, lit by candlelight, which is displayed at the Santa Maria Hotel. The Hotel is a project to bring employment to this historic but impoverished Paraguayan village, and several of the English students supported by the Education Fund work here as receptionists and guides, The crib figures are seen against the background of an indigenous woven mat and the rough wooden walls of the hotel chapel.


These cards will shortly be available priced at £3.95 for 10
plus postage and packing: £1.95 for up to 30; £2.95 for 31 - 70; £5.50 for over 70.
Cheques should be made out to Santa Maria Education Fund and sent to Mimi Stephens at the address below.
